Front elevation enhancement

In 2011 the original Russian inspired design for the Southwark Street frontage was released. Through to the present time the design and the accompanying film have been looked at by thousands of people. These include designers, architects and members of the public, many of whom visited the 12 month open exhibition at the Gagarin site, within the ground floor of 55 Southwark Street, up to June 2013. New frontages along Southwark Street including the Harlequin together with the striking proposal for the Isis house 67-69 Southwark street by Allies and Morrison have improved the boundaries outside our conservation area where the Gagarin Square will sit. This enlivening of the street scene just west of 51 to 53 has inspired our theatre team to further enhance and dramatised the Gagarin theatre frontage. The new favourite images are attached below and the final version will be within the website at the New Year.
